Should the Drinking Age be 18?

Obviously we all felt that way when we were 18. Even as an adult, however, Beer Expert Lew Bryson makes an interesting argument for the changing of these laws. Although some of his logic is flawed or stretched, I generally agree that 18 would be a better solution.

Hell, yes the drinking age should be 18! The reason there are all the teen DUI/DWI’s and alcohol-related accidents is because the stuff is demonized and kids have to hide away their drinking (I recall friends drinking IN THEIR CARS because there was no where else to). I say reduce the drinking age and mount a PSA campaign for parents to espouse mature behavior in teens when consuming.

Also, Lew Bryson is one hell of a nice fella. I met him at the Kennett Square Brewfest and he was a riot! I bought his book, which he signed for me. Ah, to touch stardom…

i beleive that the drinking age should be lowered to 18 because not as many teens would like to get drunk to the point to where they pass out anymore.and it would keep alot of teens from getting underages and into trouble because it wouldnt be such a rush to do like it is now since we know its illegal for us to do and its fun to cheat the law.thats how we see it today.but as if the age was 18 many people wouldnt start drinking untill a higher age and they wouldnt like to get to the drunk point where they black out.and with the law if it ever happens to be changed my oponion is they should have harsher punishments for the people who use alcohol abuse or drink and drive.
