On the contrast…I think Videoprofessor is a great company! My first experience with the company I called back in July of 2005 and ordered the one free disc on learning the Windows operating system…to my surprise and satisfaction the lessons were wonderful and very user friendly. Never again did I receive anything nor hear from them again with advertisements. Then again in february of 2006 I called and spoke with a very friendly agent by the name of Adela employee id 8308. She was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and polite. This is the first time that I had called a company on the phone and received superior customer service. I bought one set of video proffesor lessons and she gave me two other lessons for free!!! I thought that was an excellent buy. The lessons are worth every penny. I think that when people have problems with companies it is because they don’t pay attention to the person on the other end and listen to exactly what they are doing. Also some customers expect to get everything for free but you have to realise that this is 2006 and one way or another you are going to have to pay for what you get…think about it! Its common sense!!!!So if your talk to a sales rep and later wonder “hmmmm….I Just gave my cc number out….I wonder exactly what we discussed” or get online and give your cc number to a company with out reading the terms and agreements or “how it Works” then maybe you should give there customer service a call and gind out exactly what you agreed to do. Keep up the good work Videoproffesor!!!!!

Life lesson: For any scam to be successful, the victim must possess two qualities: greed and ignorance. Any time you see the word FREE that should be fair warning. We all want something for nothing–greed–it’s only natural. But that is the hook scam artists use to lure you in. Almost everyone who fell for the Videoprofessor scam was not aware–ignorant–of the “catch” that in reality they were committing to a series of lessons and charges to their credit card. Videoprofessor is not the only one using this scam. Perhaps the most onerous of this type of scam is the “Enzyte” free sample ruse. It’s very similar in that you think you are only paying shipping but in reality you start receiving the Enzyte packages every month ad infinitum. Would you give me, a complete stranger, anything for free? (Assuming no charity). Do you really believe some man running a business to make money is going to give away anything? Just remember: “If it sounds too good to be true, it usually is.”

I ordered the video professor and was only required to pay for shipping. Well I was charged for shipping – and never received my cd-roms!!! I completely forgot about it until I looked at my bank statement and was charged shipping and handling for something I never received PLUS two additional months of “service” at $9.95 per month. I went to the website to cancel my subscription and conveniently enough you can’t do it online – so I ended up calling the customer service number. When I called they said they absolutely COULD NOT provide me with a FULL REFUND!!! They would only refund me for one month. I asked why that was possible for them to take money from me when I didn’t receive a product that was promised to me? She simply just said that I have 30 days to make the claim and since it was more than 30 days – I couldn’t have my money back. So there is 10.95 down the drain. The clever part of this SCAM is that no one wants to sue a company for a lousy $10 bucks – so they will continue to take advantage of thousands of unknowing people. WATCH OUT!
