I really wanted Fox’s Reunion to be my favorite new show. Looking back, its hard to imagine how I could have been excited about something so crappy, but at the time (mid-summer), when Fox started running promos, it seemed like it was destined to be my new fav. After all, it had teen/college drama, an unraveling mystery and a unique gimmick (each episode is a different year) — it couldn’t miss, right?
Wrong. Reunion is terrible. And not even terrible in a One Tree Hill this-show-is-so-absurd-but-I-love-it-anyway type of way, just plain terrible. The story sucks (is Sam really that great?), the acting is bad, and the writing is even worse. (Actually, in these types of situations, I think acting ends up taking the blame for issues that are really caused by writing. Take Mathew St. Patrick, for example: a consistently solid performance in Six Feet Under, yet consistently cheesy and bloated in Reunion. Just awful dialog.)
The other thing that kills me about Reunion is that they explain the premise of the show before every episode. It’s kind of like a bad joke — if you have to explain it, perhaps it just isn’t that good in the first place. Just like the idea behind this show.
Shamefully, I set up a TiVo season pass before the season even started, and since there really isn’t anything else on Thursday at 9, I’ll probably keep watching this trash (until Fox inevitably cancels it and puts me out of my misery). And to make it even worse, perhaps the greatest single timeslot standoff of my lifetime occurs just one hour before, with The O.C., Alias and Smallville all competing for my eyes and TiVo space.

I’m sorry but if you think reunion is a bad show then you have no taste at all. You obviously aren’t paying that much attention because the story line is very complex and keeps the viewer on the edge of his or her seat. If you don’t care what happens next, then you are pretty much a callous person.

Lets just say reunion is the shit. There is nothing like it. My favorite shows are smallville, The oc, One tree hill and last but least reunion. I just love the characters in reunion and that brings lots of excitments. I don’t know what people is talking about, but reunion is the best out of the bunch and so is smallville.

I think Fox made a big mistake canceling this show. Even worse, they cancelled it in mid-season and without any sufficient warning or reasons given!! I think the acting was great. The script and the story line keep you intrigue. The best thing is: it’s DIFFERENT from other shows.. We have waaaay too many shows of the same concept like CSI, LAW&ORDER, BONES, etc. And i could care less about OC or One Tree Hill. From what I know Reunion has a lot of people watching it.. Why did Fox cancelled it??

Reunion is the best show on tv! I’m boycotting Fox for taking it off the air. How can you leave loyal fans hanging? The problem is they didn’t give the show enough commercial time. Alot of people don’t even realize it’s on. And when they did start it they put shows off due to the World Series. It’s a GREAT show and it’s BAD timing and poor promotion on Fox’s part.

I love Reunion! If you hate it so much, don’t watch it!!! It’s unfair to cancel a show in the middle of the season, especially for those of us that watch it weekly and have been guessing since day one who was killed and who did it. Now that we know who died, its not fair to hide from us who killed her and why. NOT FAIR!!!!!!!!!! I thought the show was great. I watched every episode and recorded the ones I missed so that I could keep up! My friends and I loved this show always discussed it after it was over. We are really sad that this will be cancelled. I think that is a stupid move. But who I am to say, I am just a viewer. Reunion was god-awful. What is wrong with you people? The concept was great, but the writing and the acting were terrible. Anytime Craig Brewster had a serious line, I laughed for five minutes after. Some of the best were, “The only thing that hasn’t changed, are my feelings for you,” and “That son of a b****”.
The girl who played Carla was terrible too. The abusive boyfriend was hilarious. Out of nowhere, he just starts flipping out and beating her. Craig walking, Detective Marjorino getting rundown, the entire program was complete garbage. I’m so embarassed for humanity, seeing all you idiots praise this pile of garbage.

I admit that I really liked Reunion too. At first I didn’t really know about the premises of it, but, once I started watching it, I got hooked. I was off on vacation and missed a Thursday, so when I come back, and it’s not on, I thought I totally missed something. What a bad way to cancel a show. At least finish it out.
My husband and I watched Reunion every week. I can’t say that I think that the acting is great (or even good for that matter) but I really like the premise of the show so we tolerate the less than desireable acting. I hope they bring it back…I really want to know who killed her!

Reuinion was my favorite show. I am very upset that it was canceled. Does anyone know if another network can pick it up. I felt the story line was excellent. It amazes me that Fox is still running crappy shows like Arrested Development and Prison Break, with its tired and predictable story line (the guy breaks out of prison–sorry to spoil the surprise for you). They choose to cancel a truly original concept show before the season is even over!! Crazy! I can’t claim that I won’t watch Fox again, because unfortunately, they carry The Simpsons…………but if that ever changes, I am outta there!

I have enjoyed Reunion since it started and was so disappointed when it stopped for no reason! It seems all these stations put crappy 30 minute shows and let them run now when good story lines like Reunion for one drops off with no explanations whatever to viewers. This is the 5th one with a story line from beginning to end that must follow with and some jerk critic pulls it again! Sure they may not be the top of line series like some. But they are good to some of us viewers who hope to follow with it from beginning to end once we commit ourselves to them. It’s like critics pull the rugs out because the ratings aren’t high enough for the veiwing people!

It was different, had a whole new idea, wasn’t the same shitty spiel after another. The OC, One Tree Hill are all okay shows but they all seem to run the same path. They leak into what the viewer’s want. & Reunion was definately different, it broke the mold when it aired. It was actually a show FOX has aired that made me to return to the television set every week. It actually made me curious as to what happened next. Shows like Prison Break & Lost just don’t do it for me & i’m sure there are MILLIONS out there that feel the same way. Seriously, a polar bear on a dessert island? I think not.
Reunion was only a year long, one season, with a great plot and story line.
But we’ll never know what went down, what happened at the end, because FOX enjoys cancelling shows. Amazing how the OC was probably pretty close this year too.

So I LOVED Reunion, and was so sad when I realized it went off the air, but here’s something VERY interesting I have to tell everyone. I was in Mexico last month, and I was watching TV, and old re-runs of The OC, and episodes I had NEVER before seen of Reunion were playing. I only got to see one new episode, and previews for next weeks. Although I was only in Mexico for a week, I’d stay there all damn Summer to see who killed Sam. So I’m just telling you all of this to let you know that they did make more episodes than they showed in the US, and I wish there was something someone could do to get it back!!
