On a whim, as I occasionally do, I picked up a box of Honey Bunches of Oats. If you are a longtime Songoose reader, you may remember my <a href=\"http:\/\/songoose.com\/?p=23\">Open Letter to Post Cereals<\/a>, in which I informed the company that although HBoO is the single greatest cereal ever created, that I would &#8220;not buy another box of Honey Bunches of Oats until [they] stop using Partially Hydrogenated Oils. Period.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>(It should be noted that HBoO had less than 0.5 grams of trans fat <em>per serving<\/em>, which allowed them to claim 0 grams trans fat on the ingredients list, but that doesn&#8217;t make the use of hydrogenated oil right.)<\/p>\n<p>Anyhoo, Post has finally relplaced the hydrogenated oil with plain old vegetable oil &#8212; trans fat free. I can now enjoy the best cereal ever made again &#8212; my mouth is salivating for tomorrow morning already!<\/p>\n<p>Interestingly, I never received a response from Post (which I always found strange).
