{"id":307,"date":"2006-04-14T15:00:21","date_gmt":"2006-04-14T23:00:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/songoose.com\/?p=158"},"modified":"2025-07-22T18:37:58","modified_gmt":"2025-07-22T18:37:58","slug":"good-friday-2006","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/archive.mikemadaio.com\/?p=307","title":{"rendered":"Good Friday 2006"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m busting Jerry, I&#8217;m busting!<\/p>\n<p>This might not resonate with readers outside of the Philly area, but I must share this extraordinary news nonetheless.<\/p>\n<p>This morning I drove down Lancaster Ave. (Rt. 30), from the junction of Rt. 252 in Paoli all the way to Radnor-Chester Rd. in St. Davids, <em>without hitting any red lights<\/em>. If my calculations are correct, that is <strong>18 lights<\/strong> without stopping! The perfect trip! How preposterous is that? <\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;re not familiar with the area, Lancaster Ave. is the most direct (but hardly the fastest) route from Philadelphia to the western &#8216;burbs, signifying the famous Main Line. (It is also part of the famous <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ugcs.caltech.edu\/~jlin\/lincoln\/by_state\/pa.html\">Lincoln Highway<\/a>.) It&#8217;s a four lane (two in each direction) road that goes through many towns and has many lights, simlilar to a Commenwealth Ave. in Boston or Broad St. in Richmond. <\/p>\n<p>&#8230;now that&#8217;s what I call a Good Friday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I&#8217;m busting Jerry, I&#8217;m busting!
